Rathaus Print and Media, at the present moment, is a studio that is currently offering screen printing services for garments and fine art printing. We also offer services for screen re-restretching, screen de-hazing, custom-sized large-format screens, and our own stock of upcycled screens.
Rathaus’ intended goal is to offer a wide range of goods and services for artists, crafters, and anyone who could benefit from reasonably priced know-how. We also want to provide a platform for artists who embody the core ideals and sentiments of the rat.
The term Rathaus, as noted in our website’s footer, is a German word for Town hall or City hall. This term perfectly encompasses the types of artists we strive to be, but also the community we aim to build. The irony of our name not only comes from the German word but also the German art movement (Bauhaus). The movement’s original sentiments towards accessibility, design, and unity are some of the core tenets of our studio. We want to take artists out of the rat race and into the Rathaus
